For so long in Britain there was a reluctance to tackle the issue of economic inclusion and then largely these efforts have focused on geographical areas rather than on issues of race.
 
But times are changing!
 
For over two years now MSDUK has been working to engage not only with large corporations but with ethnic minority-owned businesses throughout the country that previously had no access to the markets many UK businesses take for granted.

Maximise Your Chances of Winning, London 2012 Contracts!
 
The Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR) and the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) are hosting a FREE conference specifically aimed at encouraging Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Women and disabled owned businesses to get involved with opportunities arising from the London 2012 Games.  The event, to be held on Tuesday 30th September 2008, will focus on providing help to businesses so that they can successfully bid for London 2012 contracts, as well as improve their business competiveness.
 
This is a ‘must attend’ event, with prominent speakers including Tessa Jowell, the Minister for the Olympics and John Armitt, Chairman of the Olympic Delivery Authority. There will also be two hands-on workshops. One will assist businesses with the CompeteFor registration process and the other will give businesses already registered invaluable tips on how use CompeteFor to successfully access and win Games contracts.

The Connect InvoRed (Investment Readiness) programme aims to provide science, engineering, technology or high-growth companies with the tools that they need to develop and to raise investment.

Contract Opportunties for 2012 London Olympics
Summer 2012 will see London host the Olympic Games. Thousands of UK companies, small and large will be needed to deliver the Games i.e., construction, manufacturing, catering, merchandise, services, IT, marketing, creating valuable procurement opportunities.
 
CompeteFor is the chosen site of London 2012 for the publication of Games-related contract opportunities. It acts as a brokerage service between buyers throughout the London 2012 supply chain, and potential suppliers. CompeteFor has been developed on behalf of the English Regional Development Agencies and UK Devolved Administrations by the London Development Agency, working closely with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).

MSDUK Exhibiting at the 7th Annual Responsible Business Summitt
